OUR MISSION
Improve the health and quality of life for our homebound
seniors while fostering independence and ensuring no one is left hungry or isolated.
OUR
HISTORY
Meals on Wheels began during World War II and expanded across the United States in the 1950s; in 1974, following changes to the Older Americans Act, it began serving Summit, Utah, and Wasatch counties through MAG Aging & Family Services. Over the decades, the program has become a trusted lifeline for vulnerable seniors, addressing food insecurity while also reducing isolation, supporting aging in place, and strengthening community connection through dedicated volunteers and partners. As the need for services has grown alongside population increases, our nonprofit arm was reestablished in 2023 to expand fundraising capacity and reduce growing waitlists.
MORE THAN A MEAL
In addition to delivering nourishing meals, we participate in community events throughout the year, assemble and deliver food boxes to our most in-need recipients, and more.
