DELIVERING MEALS & SMILES
Summit, Utah & Wasatch counties lie in the majestic Wasatch mountain range which is a backdrop for a growing and vibrant community. The people who call this region home have an exceptional blend of warmth, resilience, and community spirit. It is no surprise that the population, especially the senior population, continues to grow. We hope that our senior neighbors can continue to live with the dignity and support they need as they age.

seniors while fostering independence and ensuring no one is left hungry or isolated.
OUR
HISTORY
Meals on Wheels originated during World War II and the concept rapidly spread where it gained traction in the United States in 1950s. In 1972, the Older Americans act was amended to include a national nutrition program for seniors. By 1974, meals were provided locally to homebound seniors in Utah, Wasatch & Summit counties. Over the decades, Meals on Wheels Summit, Utah & Wasatch has become a vital lifeline for those in need, relying on volunteers and partnerships with local communities. Its enduring commitment to nourishment and care has transformed it into an emblem of compassion, addressing nutritional and companionship needs.
MORE THAN A MEAL
In addition to delivering nourishing meals, we participate in community events throughout the year, assemble and deliver food boxes to our most in-need recipients, and more.
